Liability Waiver, Product Replacement Option
— This benefit allows members to have a replacement benefit should they suffer a loss under the Liability Damage Waiver (LDW) program. The member must have accepted the LDW protection on the merchandise rental and be a current member of the program. As a member of this program, if your rental merchandise is damaged beyond repair, stolen or destroyed by a covered event, a new agreement will be opened on a like kind replacement product at the same rental rate and remaining rental terms to ownership as the previous agreement provided.

Paid-Out Account Product Service Protection
— Members of the program will receive product service on their paid out merchandise for up to one year after ownership as long as they continue to participate in the program by making monthly membership payments. Without this benefit, the member would be responsible for all repairs after they own the merchandise. This benefit covers all mechanical or electrical failures unless such failure is caused by accidents, lightning or other outside influences including insect infestation or the introduction of foreign substances to the product. Does not apply to all merchandise. See your store for exclusions.

Involuntary Unemployment Payment Waiver
— Assists members with their rental payments in the event that they are laid off, fired or lose their job due to a company strike or labor dispute. If the member becomes unemployed and qualifies for a payment waiver, the member’s rental payment(s) will be waived in the amount of, or up to; the limits listed below, or when the member returns to work. The maximum payment waiver amount is the member's monthly rental payment(s) up to a maximum of $1,000 waiver of payments on all rental agreements combined or for four (4) consecutive months, whichever occurs first, per unemployment occurrence. Members must have been unemployed for a minimum of 31 days to be eligible for a payment waiver. The unemployment payment waiver plan applies to the first two (2) persons named on the rental agreement. The member’s account can become re-eligible 4 months after all previous waivers have been applied for a period of unemployment.
— Members and their immediate family can save 20% - 30% at participating physicians (including specialists) throughout the United States whenever you need physician care. Members pay the specially negotiated rate when visiting a participating physician. There is no limit to the number of visits a member and their immediate family can have as long as the RAC Benefits Plus fees are paid current. This applies while you are renting or even after the merchandise has been paid off as long as you maintain membership in the program.

— Members receive free consultation with a registered nurse 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. This hotline provides information on a range of concerns including appropriate treatment for minor emergencies or illness, answers on medication usage, and suggested treatment for colds. In the event of a serious situation, the member will be directed to go to the appropriate specialist. You and your dependents are entitled to use the hotline - at no cost. It’s a great resource anytime, but especially during those hours when health questions come up, but your doctor’s office is closed. If your symptoms do not indicate that emergency care is needed, they can guide you as you choose care options. There is no limit to the number of calls a member and their immediate family can have as long as the RAC Benefits Plus fees are paid current. — Members and their immediate family save 10% - 30% on eye exams and surgical procedures (including PRK and LASIK surgery) provided through participating eye care locations nationwide. Savings of 20% to 60% off normal retail prices apply on eyeglasses, contact lenses and non-prescription sunglasses. Examples of participating providers include: EyeMasters, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, JCPenney Optical and more. There is no limit to the number of visits a member and their immediate family can have as long as the RAC Benefits Plus fees are paid current. — Members and their immediate family will receive the lowest price available at the participating pharmacy on short-term, acute care prescriptions and maintenance medications by going to their local neighborhood pharmacy. While savings will vary, a member’s out of pocket expense will be reduced by 15% to 60% on most prescription medications. There is no limit to the number of visits a member and their immediate family can have as long as the RAC Benefits Plus fees are paid current. This applies while you are renting or even after the merchandise has been paid off as long as you maintain membership in the program. Members can save even more money on their long-term prescriptions (or maintenance medications) by using the mail order service.

Members are ensured the club’s “lowest membership rate for the type of membership selected” that is currently being offered. There are more than 2,500 participating fitness facilities such as Curves, Gold’s Gym, Jazzercise and many more locally-owned and regionally-owned locations. Rates will vary according to the club size, location, facilities and programs offered.

RAC Benefits Plus members can save money when renting a car. It’s as simple as making a phone call. Participating companies include AVIS, Hertz, National, Alamo and Budget. Members call the toll-free number for their preferred rental car company and make their reservation. Members must have a credit card to be able to rent. When the rental car specialist is provided with the appropriate code, the member will receive the discount when applicable. Savings will vary between 5% – 25% depending on the rental car company and the type of car rented. In some cases, discounts are not applicable with specials or promotional rates.
Members receive 15% off the published lodging rates at participating Choice hotels. Members can choose from almost 4,000 Choice Hotel properties located worldwide, including Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, MainStay Suites, Econo Lodge or Roadway Inn.

Members can order special identification cards to keep and to provide to anyone who cares for their child(ren). Each kit will include 4 cards to complete with the child’s information and picture, 1 ink pad to thumbprint the child and four self laminating cards to protect the information. One card should be kept in the parent’s wallet, one card can be kept in the child’s backpack or diaper bag, and the others can be given to anyone who cares for your child. Additional sets can be ordered for a shipping and handling fee.
